Rahim Yar Khan, The City of Ancient Heritage, is a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan, famed for the beauty of the deserts nearby. In 1881, the Nawab of Bahawalpur gave this city its current name by naming it after his first-born son and crown prince, Rahim Yar Khan.
Known as one of the largest producers of cotton and sugarcane, RYK has an agri-based economy with two-thirds of the people living there having agriculture as their core occupation. With the establishment of RYK Industrial Zone and other flagship factories and plants, this city is turning into a hub of industry as well.
Rahim Yar Khan is about an 8 hour drive from Karachi, however we recommend that our clients fly in to Sukkar, Bhawalpur or RYK based on the availability of flights. Our Glamp site is 10 minutes away from the desert.
