Rahim Yar Khan

Central Punjab

Rahim Yar Khan, a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan, is known for its ancient heritage and the beauty of the nearby deserts. In 1881, the Nawab of Bahawalpur named the city after his first-born son and crown prince, Rahim Yar Khan.

Rahim Yar Khan has an agri-based economy, with two-thirds of the population employed in agriculture. The city is also a major producer of cotton and sugarcane. In recent years, Rahim Yar Khan has developed into a hub of industry, with the establishment of the RYK Industrial Zone and other flagship factories and plants.

Rahim Yar Khan is about an 8-hour drive from Karachi. However, we recommend that our clients fly into Sukkar, Bhawalpur, or RYK, depending on the availability of flights. Our glamping site is 10 minutes away from the desert.
